This was shot in Argyll with a Nikon D800 in natural light. The round tower is a lookout post during the war and was captured for a college projectTime
It was getting pretty late and I was still trying to get that perfect shot , then at 1600hrs I shot thisLighting
All natural light and it's my preferred lighting , natural light gives you an extra challenge as it changes every ten minsEquipment
Just the camera was used Nikon D800 with 18-135mm wide angle , I had to stand on a fence to be high enough to avoid convergenceInspiration
This was for an architecture project at college, and I didn't want to do the usual tall building like a skyscraper , but also I wanted a great backdropEditing
I cropped it very slightly , used the clarity slider and applied black and white conversionIn my camera bag
I carry everything always. Just in case, even though you are intending to shoot one specific thing , there is always that moment when you see something else along the wayFeedback
Do your homework first, find out the size of what you are dealing with and what context it is situated in , as with this , it looks pretty islotaed, however , it sits about 150 yards from a housing scheme
