We were on vacation in Puerto Vallarta and visited the Vallarta Botanical Gardens. During our walk, I found this little friend!Time
We got there in the morning before the day got to it’s full heat and I had some fun playing with the shadows!Lighting
Sunlight always creates some challenges so that the time of day will work for or against your composition or angle! Sometimes you get the shot and sometimes you come back at another time when the lighting is in your favour, and sometimes you take the snapshot that preserves the memories that you want to save!Equipment
I was surprised that I was able to take some neat photos on my iPhone, but would loved to have brought my Canon Camera for more creative photography with a tripod! I guess there’s a reason for another visit!Inspiration
I’m usually looking for something different, a play on lighting, an unusual angle, or blend of colours!Editing
I sometimes will change the cropping or adjust the lighting but try to get my best shot from the start!In my camera bag
I have a preference for Canon Cameras and that goes back to the early 1980’s! I have my older cameras but I’m working on upgrading to the EOS system and lenses now that I have more time in retirement!Feedback
I have expressed my love for photography and when we are out where there’s something that will catch my attention, I now give myself “permission” to take a few moments to enjoy the moment! If I don’t have my camera bag, I’ll find the best picture I can with these amazing iPhones and their great cameras that are now available!
