Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in S. Pedro do Sul baths, Portugal

Time

At night, after dinner.

Lighting

The night was warm, the lights of the stage and everything around it made us feel as into a fairy night. No need of flash, the colors of the lights (variable) were enough.

Equipment

I used my Canon Powershot SX730HS. No special lens, flash or tripod used.

Inspiration

The beauty of the scene: colorful lights varying according to the music being played, the wonderful music itself, the enthusiasm of both orquestra members and audience. I couldn't stop shooting.

Editing

I enhanced the contrast and sharpness of the image

In my camera bag

Actually and as a complete amateur, I take with me my older digital camera Olympus VG-160, my previous camera Canon Powershot SX710HS and my newest compact camera Canon Powershot SX730 HS, extra batteries and a small "Gorilla" tripod.

Feedback

Who am I to give advices to others? I'm a laywoman. What I can say is that if you like photography, try to take photos of everything which call your attention or you like. Whenever possible, take into consideration the light, perspective and composition. Photography starts in your mind through your eyes and your images can tell a lot of things to others, help others, inform others. And, if you really like photography and you have nothing to photograph, then… photograph what you have.
