The location of Wheal Coates is spectacular and the colourful moorland and blue sky and Atlantic Ocean made this a most enjoyable walk.
On the clifftop above the Towanroath engine house on the north Cornwall coast stands the remains of the whim engine house with it's towering chimney and the ruins of the stamping engine.
