Thank you! The butterfly did the work!

Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo in my yard in rural central Illinois. My husband is responsible for discovering this beautiful butterfly.

Time

It was mid morning. The butterfly stayed in that spot for quite awhile. This gave me a chance to take shots until I got the right one

Lighting

I let my equipment decide the lighting.

Equipment

I have no special equipment. An iPhone with a wonderful camera and my ability as an artist to see beauty in most things are my tools.

Inspiration

The contrast between the green and the vibrant blue butterfly was the perfect shot that doesn’t happen that often. Often you are rushed into action but this time the butterfly didn’t move.

Editing

Didn’t do a thing to enhance .

In my camera bag

My bag is my pocket that holds my only equipment , an iPhone XR

Feedback

Being an amateur can be an advantage. I’m not thinking about settings, lighting, etc. I see something and let my equipment decide on the settings and enjoy the journey!
