Location
I took this photo last summer during a trip to Puglia, a beautiful region southeast of Italy. The town is Otranto, a beautiful place of sea and history in the heart of Salento.Time
The photo is taken at 5 in the morning. Otranto is the most easterly country in Italy. The sun rises first here than in any other part of Italy.Lighting
The light is natural. In summer, when the sun rises, it illuminates the details very well.Equipment
This photo was taken with a Nikon D3200 with a wide-angle Tokina 11-16, Tripod BILORA ColorLux II and a wireless remote control.Inspiration
I really liked the location where I took the photo. The position is slightly raised on the sea in a rocky area where the rocks emerge from the sea. the outline of the Mediterranean vegetation gives depth to the image where the true protagonist is the rising sun.Editing
I have not worked a lot in post production. I limited myself to adjusting the lights and saturating the colors. The early hours of the day offer good contrast and beautiful colorsIn my camera bag
The photographic equipment that always accompanies me consists of a Nikon D3200, a Nikon light-weight in a wide-angle Tokina 11-16, MacroTele zoom Tamron 30-300. For landscapes I always carry a sturdy BILORA ColorLux II tripod stand, a wireless remote control to avoid camera shake and a Gobe ND1000 filter.Feedback
When photographing a landscape, care should be taken to include a close-up in the image. It is therefore important to study the correct framing and composition of the image. In these cases nothing is left to chance. the day before informed about the weather conditions and the time of sunrise. Prepare the equipment and reach the place of shooting in advance to adjust the camera and make the correct framing. Close the diaphragm and take some photos with different exposure times. If you want to soften the movement of the sea use an ND filter. Always use the tripod. but above all enjoy the moment, the sunrise lasts a few minutes, fill the heart and soul of this fantastic morning breeze.
