Behind The Lens

Location

A small lake in North East Pennsylvania where my family has owned a small cottage for 33 years- I only use my iPhone - never had a good camera - one summer I befriended a chipmunk and one of my shots won a spot on the Yuenglings Ice Cream Calendar!! - (That was done on my iPhone 4) This shot was done in my iPhone 6 !

Time

The lake can be very moody this was around 4pm prior to rolling out the barbecue and staying outside for dinner as it was a calm spectacular July day!

Lighting

It was a BLUE on BLUE day - I use a cell phone - this was taken with my iPhone 6 ( that’s all I use still - it’s always in my pocket - some days I take 100 photos or more just to try to capture what my eye makes me feel - then in the evening I go through my photos as entertainment - to see which ones came close to capturing what my mind remembered what I saw that made me use the camera ( iPhone 6 in my pocket )

NONE of the above - iPhone in my pocket - hoping to get a real camera soon

Inspiration

The lake and light are always special !!!! This was the Bluest day I can remember- other days have fabulous have reflections- bright colorful sunsets and the morning fog the fog is another great thing to capture !

Editing

Yep had to pop the ‘light’ a bit more - the blue just got brighter and stronger

In my camera bag

My portable charger to keep using my iPhone camera -going when I am outside - doing yard work or bird watching or taking a walk etc

Feedback

If something moves you - or catches your eye - take the challenge and photograph it ! I have loved my phone ONLY because I can take photos all day and unwind at night going through them .
