Location
This Picture was taken in the Teide Nationalpark at Mirador de Samara, Teneriffe.Time
About 11 pm, when the Milkyway was standing perfectly as an arch above the horizont.Lighting
You can drive up to 2362 m in the Teide Nationalpark. This day it was cloudy underneath about 1500 m. Those lower clouds were blocking most of the lightpolution from the Towns. So we got one pretty dark and clear Night up the Tide. Perfect conditions for Astrophotography.Equipment
For this shot I used a Sony A7 III with a Zeiss Batis 18 mm and my FLN Tripod with a Panorama head.Inspiration
I liked the straight Road up to the Teide and the nice Milkyway as a Arch above it. The Silhouetts of the Pinetrees, and the rest of the Lightpollution made this shot very intressting.Editing
This Panorama was made out of 10 vertically Pictures in row. I used Adobe LR to handle the high dynamic of this Picture, and stacked it with Hugins. In my camera bag
A Sony A 7 III and my older Canon 70 D, one more Batterie, a Headlight, a SD, and of course a tone of Lenses from 18 - 400 mm :DFeedback
First you'll need a Camara, which can handle higher ISOs. A stable Tripod is necessary! A good Lens is beneficial. With wider Lenses like the here used 18 mm you can go up to 15 s exposure. This leads to lower ISO and less noise. Only use RAW for Astrophotography, espacially if you want to catch something of the foreground, too. And always use the manual focus for Astro.
