Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo at my parents farm in a Interlochen Michigan.

Time

I took this image near sunset at the start of golden hour. The sun was still high in the sky so I took the image in the shade to avoid highlights.

Lighting

The image was taken in the shade to avoid a lot of the highlights. The sun was still rather bright.

Equipment

Nikon D4s, 200mm 2.0 Nikon lens.

Inspiration

I wanted to show the connection between animals and humans.

Editing

I composited 3 images together to create the image. I also added shadows and highlights where needed. I also added some sun in the corner in post process.

In my camera bag

I normal have my Nikon D4s, 200mm 2.0, and 85mm.

Feedback

I recommend watching a lot of tutorials. I also recommend practing and learning from someone who has done this so that you can learn the shoot for the shot you imagine.
