This is the Del Norte Titan, the third largest (disclosed) Coastal Redwood. It is in the Grove of Titans, but is across Mill Creek from most of the grove, so most people never see it. It is simply a ghost they've heard about.
It is 23.7' diameter at breast height (close to 28' at the ground). It is 306.7' tall and has a volume of 37,515 cu.ft.
It is still over 12' in diameter at 180 feet up!!!!!

Thank you Krnaik! I'm in love with these trees... I'm glad that you enjoyed my "details." I thought I would include them in case someone was interested. Thanks again!

Oh Duffy WOW, the image of Susan and the tree is breathtaking. I love the fact that you gave us so much detail about the tree. It sounds like this would be an ideal location for a workshop.

Thanks so much Stef. This where I am retiring. I have been studying these giants from afar for years, and maybe you are right. When I picture taking people out to shoot, this is the place I imagine the most!

Wonderful Duffy. It is hard to photographically convey the immensity of Redwoods. Having Susan in the shot solved the problem.

Thank you Don, your kindness is appreciated. Susan is a good sport about it too, which helps! Thanks again.
