Spent several days driving through northern Iran along the Caspian sea (Mongol Rally 2011). Of the 17 countries we drove through, Iran was by far the most welcoming. We were offered food, shelter and friendship literally everywhere we stopped. The scenery was astonishing as well. Would love to visit again some day.
