African penguins are on the IUCN red list of endangered species. This shot was taken in my hometown of Plettenberg Bay, South Africa during the 4th release of rehabilitated penguins back to the wild. One of these releases was featured on National Geographic. The shot was particularly challenging as there were upwards of 60 people crowding to all get a look.
