The backyard of my house at hometown had this 80-85 years old (mwy be older!) Babool tree (Gum arabic tree) which finally hung its boots some 1.5 years back and fell down. We decided not to move it from there as it works perfectly as a perch for passerine birds. This beautiful crested bird called "Brahminy Starling" was a regular visitor there on last Sunday (15.07.18). I was hardly 2-3 meters away from it and it didn't shy away from being there and getting clicked. The short distance between the 2 of us worked like a charm for my lens.
