A scale model of a British WW1 Sopwith Triplane about to touch down at Kialla during the Shepparton Mammoth Scale day in Victoria, Australia. This was the first triplane to see action in WW1. The German Air Force soon copied the very successful Sopwith with their own version the Fokker DR1 which was notably the last aeroplane piloted by the famous Manfred Von Richthofen the "Red Baron".
