Amsterdam sunset as seen from a department store cafeteria window. Right time and place!

Attended an annual auction in Ohio and just realized how all of these similar hats filled my view st the end of the auction.

Stopped along the highway to catch the setting sun reflecting in a small lake adjacent to the highway.

Location

Pataya in Thailand. Along the waterfront boardwalk.

Time

This was early afternoon if I recall.

Lighting

I was in a nearby beach front restaurant (with ocean views) and a fellow was selling fish from a cart ( A vendor) along the boardwalk. Maybe 50 feet away. As I looked out to sea I found him in my line of sight and fell in love with the symmetry of the fish and the way he displayed them.

Equipment

I believe this was just with my iphone 5

Inspiration

The uniformity of the fish and the pattern that they created against the sky. Plus it was a beautiful day at the beach and this captured the scene for me.

Editing

No post processing was involved. Now that I look at it I could do a little work on the sky to bring the clouds out a little better in terms of definition.

In my camera bag

Normally I carry Olympus camera and 3 of their PRO series lenses.

Feedback

I like to focus on patterns (either natural or man made) and focus in on the detail. A detail that captures the essence of the place, so to speak.
