Santorini is an island in the southern Aegean Sea, about 120 miles southeast of Greece's mainland in the gorgeous Aegean Sea. Wow, blue and white forever! Whitewashed buildings and steps, blue blue sky and sea and domes. It’s overload of the beauty senses.

The numerous blue domes and bell towers are Greek Orthodox architecture and symbols.

Santorini sits atop a 1,300 foot volcanic black rock cliff above the sea. Santorini is the result of a volcanic eruption that destroyed the earliest settlements and created the current geological caldera. Some of its streets and walkways go back to the Bronze Age. There are endless cafes and shops and homes stacked up the side of the cliff atop each other. Thankfully viticulture is a dominant and 50,000 year old industry so it’s easy to stop and enjoy a glass of wine and look out on the gorgeous-ness and breathe a deep sigh.
