The Oriental Garden Lizard (Calotes versicolor) gets a bright red throat during the breeding season, giving rise to the common but incorrect name "Bloodsucker." The lizard is an insectivore with a spiny back.

This is my story....
I would have missed this Lizard. I went birding at Pashan Lake in Pune. And, to my surprise, a bird pointed out this lizard on the garden railing. Anyway, I'm too afraid of them. Wall Lizards are my only fear.
