Oriental Garden Lizard (Calotes versicolor) – During the breeding season, the male gets a bright red throat which led to a common but incorrect name of “Bloodsucker”. The lizard has a spiny back and it is an insectivore.
My story....
I would have never noticed this Lizard. I had gone for birding at Pashan Lake, Pune. And to my surprise...a bird showed me this lizard on the garden rail. Anyways, I am too scared of them. My only phobia.....Wall Lizards.
