This was such a memorable moment. I had landed in Iceland 24 hours prior to this. On little sleep I explored Reykjavik and eventually made it to my airbnb in Borgarnes. Napped for a few hours, woke up around 11pm and headed to the beautiful Kirkjufell and then explored the Snaefellsnes peninsula on my way back. As we were coming down the ridge the sky opened up. In less than 10 seconds we were running out of the car to capture this moment. It was fleeting but absolutely incredible moment. Really reinforces the idea to just go, even if you lose sleep - it could be worth it!
