Moonrise over The Organ, Arches NP

This was actually taken during a family trip with some relatives out west. None of us had been to Arches or Canyonlands and had been planning to visit for years, we were so excited to finally go. Well as luck would have it my 8 year old cousin got all of us sick! The 5 of us all caught some form of a cold and didn't get much hiking in while we were there. Thankfully this little spot is right next to a convenient parking lot that I couldn't help but stop at on our way out of the park after watching sunset.

This was taken during blue hour and I was quite lucky with the position of the moon. Many times something like this needs to be planned but in this case it was just luck, or maybe karma paying back a little after being sick!
