Bonnie, my friend in Georgia, had a beautiful koi pond full of fat koi - orange ones, red ones, golden ones. And if you even walked towards the edge of the pond, they would swirl frantically, begging for food. The entire area was lush, full of flowers around the edge, waterlilies and lilypads in the pond, fat bull frogs lived in the fish sculpture, the sound of tinkling water, the occasional fish breaking the surface. So very peaceful.

Bonnie died on New Year’s Day. We were friends for 40+ years. I’ll miss her forever.
