I saw striped Hoverflies buzzing around and then landing on our Fuchsia plant. I think they were attracted to the plant by its scent. Only after seeing the photo on my monitor did I notice they were actually eating the pollen grains while upside down....... Or to put it another way :-......... Pretty potted pink and purple petalled plant produced pleasant perfume, pointing passing peckish pollinators to precariously perch on prominent pendulous pads of precious pollen.
