Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken on the way to the Golden Rock, Yangon / Burma

Time

By the middle of the morning

Lighting

It was a very hot and clear day. The light was more than enough to enhance the contrasts among all those people and objects (although this Challenge is for B&W photos)

Equipment

I used my compact camera Canon PowerShot SX710 HS; no tripod, flash or special lens

Inspiration

The ambiance full of color, the smell of the traditional food in a sacred place. Well, people have to sell things to live and this young man was one of them. His hair cut/color was also different from all the others I saw.

Editing

I made some resizing and transformed a color photo to a black and white one.

In my camera bag

As an amateur, I always take with me my newest compact camera Canon Powershot SX730 HS, my mobile Sony E5603, a Canon compact camera Powershot SX710 HS and my older camera Olympus VG-160, some extra batteries and, sometimes 2 small tripods (one of them is a “Gorillapod”).

Feedback

Who am I to give advices to others who know much more than me? Allow me to only say: look, like and shot! The image is firstly formed in your mind. If you like it, go ahead! Each shot should give you a sensation of something. Besides, photography can be a most important way of showing the world to others or even help to preserve and protect it.
