Location
This photo was taken in San Francisco on the Fisherman’s Wharf. The colors were so vibrant that it begged to be photographed.Time
We were strolling on the wharf around midday when the sun was high. Though it’s not the best time of day for photography, it turned out okay.Lighting
All natural light.Equipment
I took this with my Nikon D40. I was just starting to take photography seriously but was still shooting in auto mode at that time. This was a lucky shot.Inspiration
The colors and beauty of these flowers drew me in.Editing
I didn’t know how to post process at this time and unfortunately was not shooting in RAW at this phase in my photography so this picture is right out of the camera. In my camera bag
I now have a Nikon D850, 50mm lens, 18-200mm, and tripod I take places. I have a 200-500mm lens but haven’t ventured far with this heavy lens.Feedback
Shoot on manual mode, no flash, and post process to recreate the emotions you felt when taking the shot. An online photography class took me to the next level and I’m still learning!
