These were some of the easier to find Petroglyphs at Boquillas Hot Springs in Big Bend. They are close to the ground and show signs of a lot of work. It appears the images were made by chipping away carefully at the rock's surface, leaving what amounts to a series of speckled chips that make the image.

These images reminded me of feet -- or strange alien creatures -- though I can not recognize any animal print those might be. I'm pretty sure our Native American forebears KNEW how to make a good image of any animal they hunted.
