I observed this scene at sunset while I was backcountry skiing in the Idaho mountains.

We walked and waded in the canyon of the Middle Fork of the Owyhee River in SE Oregon.

At sunset, I drove to a viewpoint off the Signal Mountain Road in the Tetons and took this photograph.

I wanted to observe the sunset at this point and observe the full moon rising on the other side.

Editing

I used Lightroom for enhanced clarification and vividness.

In my camera bag

I have a mirrorless full frame Sony alpha 7 camera with a 28-70 mm lens. I have similar pictures at Alstrom Point using the Sony camera but I liked the saturation and vividness that came from the Canon SX50 image.

Feedback

I can't think of a better location to capture a beautiful landscape photo. The light was great and the time of day was great. I took several photos using the two cameras that I described above. I used various settings and selected this image for Viewbug.
