Location
This photo was taken in Yellowstone National Park on a foggy morning. I have certificate in photography for a well known online school. This was a spur of the moment shot without any preparation.Time
It was around 7:00 AM, I was walking up the path from a geyser in Yellowstone. As I was walking the golden sunlight started to come through the fog and trees so I stopped and quickly composed this sot hand held (not tripod)with tress, cabin and sunbeams.Lighting
With the bright sunlight shinning through the mist and fog and two people further up trail gives the image a mysterious feeling.Equipment
I used a Nikon D750. 24-120 f/4 lens at ISO 400, f/16, 1/80th sec exposure. The image was taken hand held, no tripod was used.Inspiration
The time of day, the mist and fog in the trees with the sunlight just inspired me on the spur of the moment. It's like your feelings, the mood just all came together at once in a shinning moment or a moment of prefect clarity.Editing
I did a little bit of post processing, I added a yellow filter to give the image a warmer look.In my camera bag
The first thing I always pack in my camera bag is my Nikon D750, a Nikkor 50mm f/1.4, Nikon 85mm f/1.8 prim and Nikon a 24-120 f/4 zoom, and a flash unit.Feedback
I find thew best time time to get really good landscape images in the early morning or late afternoon. If I am down by the ocean I like the late afternoon and just after sunset.
