This photo was taken in a community garden run by the local nature group. This little robin loves following us around as we work in the gardenTime
This photo was taken in the middle of the day at the beginning of march. I was just doing my final rounds admiring our work when the robin basically begged my to take a photo by posing so perfectlyLighting
If possible try to play with the sunlight and get your photo from different angles to the sun. Don't be afraid to work against the sun as this provides many new opportunities.Equipment
This was shot with a Nikon D40X and Sigma 18-300 mm lens. The actual setting for this photo were 240 mm, ISO 800, f/6.3 and shutter speed of 1/500.Inspiration
I just love robins and the fact that they are nearly always relatively close by when you are working in the garden. I have many photos of robins, but this one showed a bit of glimmer in its eyes and almost shyly was begging for this shot.Editing
I use DxO opticsPro for photo to process all of my photos. Here i just used the basic settings that are offered, to give the photo that little bit extra spice. In my camera bag
At the time this photo was taken my equipment consisted of my Nikon D40X, Sigma 18-300 mm and Sigma 150-600 mmFeedback
Always let your eyes wander to find that special photo, but remember that the photo may not always be the same as what you see with your eyes. The time without leaves on the trees is a really good time to catch the birds.
