A Common Buckeye butterfly sunning itself on an old piece of cardboard on the ground. These guys are very hard to photograph with their wings open, because when they hear the camera auto-focus "beep", they close their darn wings! This guy took 20-plus attempts before it got bored of the game and left its wings open for me.
