I have been waiting for several years to capture a great shot of a peacock with his feathers open. Finally, a few weeks ago a friend of mine called me up and said its time! So a couple of days later I made my way to Floyd Lamb Park in Las Vegas and walked around and shot for a few hours hoping. I finally landed this shot when I saw this peacock open up on the other side of some bushes from where I was. I ran over and there was great shade from the bushes but some streaks of sunlight coming thru in between them. I just happen to get this in when he turned and the light went across the center of him.
