Gājan is a festival held in some parts of Bengal, India, in honour of Lord Shiva. The participants called Gājan Sannyasi (because they adopt the lifestyle of a Sannyasi for a month) pierce their bodies with hooks, rods, etc in honour and satisfaction for their God.

A devotee here is tying the mask-idol-face of Hara-Kali (Hara, means Lord Shiva, and Goddess Kali together) to the trunk of the Chadak Tree, an important structure of the festival.
