Location
I took this on a creek that flows into the Chesapeake Bay from the east. The local weather is extremely changeable particularly during the Winter. Fog flows in and out quite rapidly. I had taken a number of other more moody shots in almost full fog, when it suddenly lifted leaving this shot.Time
This was in the late morning, early afternoon, not usually a time of nice light around here, but the fog was distinctive.Lighting
The light was simple, natural light.Equipment
I use a Nikon D3200. I believe I used a 70-200 mm lens which had already been on the body.Inspiration
I am only now learning to use the camera, and to frame interesting images...this seemed like an interesting image.Editing
I believe I may have tweaked the color level up a bit.In my camera bag
As I am just starting, my bag is not too full. I keep a UV filter on both my lenses to protect them, and a polarized filter on my zoom lens. My other lens is what came with the camera...22-80mm I believe. Extra battery and SD card and charger. I have also taken to carrying a card reader to download images to my iPad...the screen on the camera is too small to get a real sense of the photoFeedback
Always stay open to interesting light and atmospherics.
