These four young boys are street orphans. The live together and help keep each other alive. When they approached me for some gratuity, I made them a job offer. I would buy them bags of fresh fruit and give some money for a warm meal, and for two hours they would show me around Mainamati, in eastern Bangladesh. They were perfect location scouts. And when I gave them their fruit, the took one, opened it and share it four even ways. They were proof that in dire situations cooperation is a superior survivor skill than competition.
