A toddler sits on the backstreets of Kolkata beside her grandmother, who is a lame beggar. Granny has her cane across her lap while counting the small notes given here by passing strangers with empathy. The young girl is staring off into deep space lost in thought and either accepting or oblivious to the bleak future which likely awaits her. She is now what is likely a member of the silent majority of her generation. Considering the time of day, it is unlikely she has benefit of an education. What awaits her?
