The busiest bridge of the world besides being the 6th largest cantilever bridge lit on occasion of its 75th birthday.Howrah bridge, the symbolic emblem of Calcutta is a rare engineering marvel which is only riveted ,without any bolts or nuts and handles daily traffic of 1,00,000 vehicles and 1,50,000 pedestrians daily.The bridge was also featured in Garth Davis' Academy Award-nominated 2016 film Lion and is the lifeline connector between the two cities of Calcutta and Howrah.
