The girl is engrossed in a sea of PataChitra Paintings in a rural art village called Egra in West Bengal. On an invitation by an NGO promoting rural craftsmen and artisans of Bengal, I was spellbound by the sheer talent and painting capabilities of the artists.The entire village are of artisans and the girl child follows the famous heritage, practiced by a very few today.My picture is a tribute to our great heritage and the Hope of reincarnating the dying rich tradition of Patachitra Paintings.
