Sometimes, the African bush is just magic. White rhino grazing in a waterlogged park. When it rains here, it RAINS! Difference between white and black rhino? Backs are skittish, aggressive. They keep their eyes, attention on you as soon as they become aware of your presence. They have a prehensile upper lip and are browsers. The white rhino are bigger, heavier, but more docile and easier to approach. They are grazers. The name white is a corruption of the Afrikaans word, 'Wyd', meaning 'wide', in reference to its mouth.
