I thought the real winter would not come to Helsinki this year. But finally, in the last days of February, we finally got proper "pakkanen", as we say in Finland (meaning sub-zero temperatures). -20C, but the wind made it feel like -34C. Mallards didn't care.

Once again I found myself at mökki - the Finnish summer cottage.

The sea was barely frozen when we arrived. Sky was clear, for the first time in months. Felt like spring.

Since we still don't have proper snow in Southern Finland, I need to shoot the occasional frost.
