The rural countryside in Iowa is perfect for viewing the nightsky. Head outside away from the city lights and you will get a panoramic view of the starry night sky. One key feature in the summer months is the visibility of the Milkyway Core on clear moonless nights! lf you havent seen it, go out and see it! It really is a spectacular sight. If sky is dark enough, you can see it with your naked eye! I had been planning this shot for a while now and was able to make it a couple of days back. I found an unmanned railroad crossing near Fernald, IA and was able to catch the milkyway rising over the tracks. This is a blend of 2 exposures - one for the sky and one for the foreground.
