This is the scene I was faced with where I came out of the skating arena late in the afternoon. The air temperature was near freezing. A sticky short-lived snowfall clung to the tree limbs. But if one looks closely, one can see that the snow the tree tops had already melted due to the warm sun coming down on the horizon.
