People that live outside of New Zealand’s larger cities often say that visiting the city leaves them feeling drained. The hustle and bustle, the traffic and the lack of open space.
I love getting out of the city but even in our largest city there are a multitude of gorgeous frames if you’re open to seeing them. This is a street in Devonport not long after a deluge. The drainage clearly couldn’t cope with the sudden volume of water and while I was shooting this I had a local senior citizen moaning about ‘all this water...the council...blah blah’
I just smiled.
