This photo was taken during a commemorative march for a battle of World War II, in Neufchateau - Belgium. 2nd marche commémorative sur la bataille des Ardennes 1944/1945 XF18-55mmF2.8-4 R LM OISTime
In the late morning hours during the commemorative march, February 10, 2018.Lighting
It was very exciting due to the fact that we had snow and snow showers and lighting conditions were changing all the time. It was exactly as the weather conditions have been during the battle back in 1944.Equipment
Fuji X-T2 & XF18-55mm F2.8-4 R LM OIS @ 79 mm (compared to a fullframe lens)Inspiration
It was an exciting shooting because I was walking with these "soldiers" the whole trek (15km), they were carrying there guns an I was all the time using my camera gear and looking for these special moments to take shots without being noticed. On the entire way we had snow showers and it was freezing cold.Editing
For the whole serie of these shots I was using Lr and NIK Analog Pro filter to give a retro style to the photos as it should look like 1944/1945.In my camera bag
I had with me the Fuji X100F to take portrait and I was using also the X-T2 with 3 lenses, 10-24; 18-55 and the tele 100-400. Thats what I use always since I swapped from Nikon fullframe to Fuji in December 2017.Feedback
Well If you like to take such shots, its always good walking with these guys the way long and try to take the photos as natural as possible, so without being noticed.
