Cra 7, Bogota, Colombia 2018. I am honored that this photo has been chosen as finalist. General Sandua, his real name is Anibal Munoz and you can find him in the Cra 7 in Bogota, Colombia, not far from the Plaza Bolivar. He is 89, and it has been a pleasure listening to his stories. When I shot the photos, I was not aware that he is a very well-known person and his stories are legends. Update 7th march 2020, the General died on Covid-19 in Bogota

This photo was shot in march 2018 during my 4th travel to Colombia. General Sandua, his real name Anibal Munoz can be found every day in Cra 7 inBogota, near the plaza Bolivar. He is 89, and it has been a pleasure listening to his stories. When I shot the photos, I was not aware that he is a very well-known person and his stories are legends. The photo was shot around noon having a walk throught teh Cra 7, a very crowded street with a lot of markets and "vendedores".Lighting
A bit overcast, slight rainshowers on that morning.Equipment
I used my street camera, Fuji X100F, you need to go very close for those portraits and talk to the people to have them as natural as possible.Inspiration
The man had to tell a lot of stories, something inspiring me while taking street portraits.Editing
Post processing was done with Lr and I used NIK filters.In my camera bag
On these street walks I generally only take with me the X100F, a compact high end camera.Feedback
Well, open the eyes while walking through city streets, talk to the people and get close and then you find the right time to ask for a photo and try to take it as natural as possible.
