It's not often that Duke University sees snow. At the time this photograph was taken, I had recently moved from Wisconsin, where feet of snow is commonplace and most people own a pair of skiis, skates, and definitely a down jacket. Over the past few months in Durham, I had come home to a neglected snowboard and had wished for some semblance of winter to finally grace North Carolina. My wish came true, and under a foot of white fluff, the Duke Chapel gracefully beamed. Captured on a Canon SL1 with a 55mm lens, this picture highlights snowy accents against gothic architecture.
