There are many swans on the Rhone River in the Provence area of France. This family captivated me, obviously accustomed to handouts from passengers on passing boats. We did not fail them. This family of wild swans are swimming in the Rhone River in the Provence area of France. Swans mate for life and their babies (cygnets) will stay with them for about six months.

Swans are birds of the family Anatidae within the genus Cygnus. The swans are the largest members of the waterfowl family Anatidae, and are among the largest flying birds. (Info from Wikipedia)
