On a recent windy seaside trip I witnessed gulls hovering around the beach waiting for the crashing waves to bring in food. Every once in awhile I'd see a gull swoop down, snatch a crab out of the surf, and then repeatedly drop the crabs onto the nearby rocks in the hopes of cracking the shells. This is one such photo of a crab being dropped.
