Signal Tree located in the Cascade Valley Metro Park, part of the Summit County Metro Park system, Akron, Ohio. The Indian signal tree is close to the Cuyahoga River. The Native Americans would use odd shaped trees as landmarks to mark special locations. This one was used to mark the area where the Cuyahoga and Tuscarawas rivers pass close to one another.
