Location
I took this photo at an animal park in the UK.Time
I cant remember the exact time of day, I think it was between 11:00 and 13:00Lighting
the lighting was by direct sunlight.Equipment
This photo was shot using the original Canon Eos 5D which is a 12 megapixel camera, with a 28 to 70 f2.8 Sigma zoom lens.Inspiration
The way the bird looked so domineering and proud.Editing
I always shoot in raw file format so that I can get the best image quality, I then use DXO Photolab to process the files, I darkened the head and lightened the body to bring out details in the feathers. I also sharpened the bird using a mask.In my camera bag
1x Canon EOS 6D, 1x Canon EOS 6D mark 2, Canon 16-35mm F4 lens, Canon 50mm F1.8 lens, 28-70mm F2.8 Sigma lens, filters, Godox AD200 flash and flash triggers.Feedback
Think of what type of pictures you want to take and plan the journey, weather, time of day, also think of what you want to do on the image during the post production stage, shoot with image editing in mind.
