Location
This photo was taken on the central coast of Chile, in a small town called Pichidangui.Time
I remember that it was about time the sun started to disappear and I was with my team looking for a composition that was attractive, with a close-up that showed rocks and that allowed using neutral density filters to take a long exposure photograph. I approached the shore, I climbed some rocks, I prepared my equipment and took this photoLighting
The photo was taken in summer and in this place it is very sunny and in the afternoons there are no clouds. As I knew it would be there a few more days, wait for the clouds. I chose the right time at sunset and a day when the tide was outEquipment
I used my Nikon D750 with a Tamron 24-70 f2.8 and Haida Grad Density FilterInspiration
I was just looking to use my new Grad Neutral Density FilterEditing
Most of the processing that I made in my photos is done Camera Raw. Frequently I make some adjustments (darks, blacks, brightness, clarity and textures, vignnettes), but not too much. I prefer to do my work directly in my camera. In my camera bag

Try to go the place you choose one day before you take your photo Spend a few minutes looking how the water comes and go. Check the tides in an app. Use an app to plan your photo (check sunrise/sunset hour)
