This is a Kalahari lion. It is different than the normal African lion. This lion is wildEquipment
I use a Cannon 5D mark 3 with a 70-200mm lease for close animal encounters and a Canon 760D with a 100-400mm for far away animals.With two cameras i don't need to change lenses.Inspiration
Going to Africa on a Safari is the ultimate for any wildlife photographer. I visited the Kruger and every game park I could find. On the last day iI manage to get this photo and saw my first leopard after 5 weeks of Safari. Capturing photos wild animals in their nature environment and not the zoo is to be really close to nature and you get the feeling of how the word use to be a century ago. Visiting the Masai Mara and the Kruger is one of the few places where animals are still available in mass. These places are getting smaller and fewer by the day unless we do something. Photographers capturing their beauty and show the world might inspire the world population the preserve these natural environments. Every photo helpsEditing
Not muchIn my camera bag
4 tripods, Lee filters for landscapes,4 cameras and 14 lenses and a drone---Yes ,it is crazy--When I do a sunset or sunrise I got 4 cameras on 4 tripods. one wide angle, one wide angle with ND lee stopper, one long lens and one for time-lapse. Sometimes the drone is up in the air as well. Very intense shootingFeedback
Early morning and evening is the best time to capture animals. Most midday photos is not just average and most animals are just sleeping in the shade.
