Coyote on the Move (Parc Omega)
This weekend I will be spending time with some great friends in Parc Omega again. The animals at this Parc are captive and yes animals are meant to be in the wild but don’t try to pass off captive photographs as wildlife. Wildlife is something that should be respected, photographed from a distance and not harassed nor baited. I have many wild Coyote images but usually they are extremely far away and-or very skittish which is why I sometimes go to places like Parc Omega to practice and capture some great images without harming the wildlife or myself. I see many birds of prey, wolves, coyotes and many other species being photographed either with no description or claiming-tagging them as wildlife which in my opinion is not right and in the long run will only cause harm to wildlife. The people viewing these images might then think they can go into the wild and get these kind of close up shots which again can really endanger yourself and the wildlife. The wildlife images I have been blessed with photographing did not come easy, they took lots of hard work, dedication and research of these animals while spending countless hours in nature to get a photograph. Many days I come away with nothing, that is wildlife, that is what keeps us going back out again and again and when that moment comes when you finally see the wild animal you hoped for it makes you so happy!
